Responsibilities

The Sr. Business Development Analyst will have oversight of the merger and acquisition (M&A) analyst team. Provides oversight of the financial modeling and approvals of M&A targets as well as divestitures and other special modeling projects. The Sr. Business Development Analyst will manage and/or lead M&A due diligence activities. 

  • Oversight / analytical role to assist with modeling and financial analysis of impending and on-going transactions as well as other special modeling projects. Plan and allocate resources to effectively staff and accomplish the work to meet departmental productivity and quality goals.
  • Develop operating models that are highly flexible to be able to maneuver through multiple scenarios for the purpose of enabling any necessary and abrupt changes on a real-time basis. 
  • Coach, mentor, and develop analysts including i) overseeing new employee on-boarding and providing career development planning and opportunities; ii) empower analysts to take responsibility for their work product, delegate responsibility and expect accountability and regular feedback.
  • Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among department members that allows for disagreement over ideas, conflict and expeditious conflict resolution, and the appreciation of diversity as well as cohesiveness, support, and working effectively together to enable each employee and the department to succeed.
  • Participate in due diligence and lead analyst development of the process with focus on key cross functional support needs such as collecting target data and assessing data needs based on initial document reviews.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field. MBA, CFA, or CPA preferred.
  • 3-5 years of financial modeling
  • Healthcare experience preferred. 
  • Experience with staff development -ability to lead and develop a team of financial analysts.
  • Acquisition due diligence experience and ability to understand complex issues and work to develop solutions.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Proven presentation skills (ability to present and communicate work effectively to senior management team).
  • Demonstrated success influencing and collaborating across many functions and levels.
