Responsibilities

The Clinical Systems Validation Specialist is responsible for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) strategy and execution for our clinical applications, working directly with IT resources and business stakeholders to ensure successful system implementations. The position will develop and document test cases independently as well as with other teams. They will track testing results and provide feedback to the core team. 

 

• Responsible for coordinating application installations, replacements, upgrades, patches.
• Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve challenging problems involving integrated systems.
• Support multiple system-to-system interfaces, aggressively learning and supporting new modules and products.
• Ability to analyze, diagnose, suggest and implement process changes.
• Collaborate with manager and peers to review and establish best practices for user acceptance testing.
• Take ownership of ensuring code releases are bug-free and meets project requirements.
• Attend project meetings throughout the SDLC.
• Work with company user groups to coordinate testing, taking ownership of testing, reporting and removing obstacles preventing completion of testing.
• Develop, document and maintain detailed user test cases and artifacts.
• Evaluate design and functional specifications and requirements.
• Execute functional and regression test cases.
• Identify and communicate findings timely and follow through to resolution.
• Compile project reports and take ownership of communicating reports to key project stakeholders.
• Experience developing test strategies, plans, traceability matrices, procedures, reports, Integration, User Acceptance Testing, and User Interface Functional Testing.
• Collaborate with all departments to resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.
• Provide prompt, courteous, professional and accurate information in all communications in dealing with physicians and other departments.
• Demonstrats a commitment to department objectives through consistent patterns of work behavior and positive representation both to the practice and internally to the corporate departments and peers.
• Respond to the department needs by accepting additional assignments, which may or may not be related to the job's primary responsibilities to ensure the continuity of department services.
• Responsible for following all facility, organization and department precautions and procedures in the performance of all job duties to ensure a safe work environment for self and others.
• Maintains up to date compliance training as required.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• 3-5 years as a Systems, Q/A or product support analyst required.
• 3-5 years as a Quality Assurance Analyst or Product Support Analyst in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Experience with test planning, design and metrics, as well as working knowledge of product development cycle, testing process, and formal testing methodologies.

• Experience in issue resolution and managing to stringent timelines for project deliverables.

 

 

Knowledge/Skills &Abilities:

• Must be able to function as part of a team providing a high level of quality service to clients.
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to follow through issues to resolution.
• Self-starter with demonstrated effective time management and organizational skills.

• Ability to identify consequences to the project timeline and business risks of a defect that arises in testing.

• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.

•Ability to work in a fast paced environment while multi-tasking.

• Ability to work flexibile schedule including nights and weekends.

•Clinical experience or knowledge preferred. 

 

Software/Applications:

• Proficiency with MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint.

• Familairy with JIRA, Remedy, SharePoint. 

• Familiarity with a commercial Integration Engine Product a plus.
